WOW!!! Robert!!! What an amazing tribute to an amazing person. Your love for her shone through this entire documentary. Most of us only dream of a life where we are loved, treasured, and cherished in this manner.

Melanie taught me how to crochet. (She's still helping me through her videos.) She was such a beautiful, kind soul and it was evident through every video she ever created. THANK YOU FOR CREATING this tribute and for sharing your most intimate, difficult time with us all.

God bless you and the children. May He continue to cover you and them with His love, His protection, His provision and His favor.

I just came across the film and watched it. It was really nice finding out about Melanie, her endeavors, friends and family. Her children are uppermost in my thoughts. My own children lost their father from cancer at a young age. Time does help smooth the sorrow. 💐

  3. Sandy Campbell says:

Mr. Ham, I just watched your beautiful video of Melanie's life. It was beautifully done, and I cried seeing her go down hill so quickly. Melanie was a beautiful soul, a loving wife and mother, a happy family member. She was also quite a crafter, her ideas were beautifully made and presented. I had watched many of her videos in the past because I enjoyed her happy presentations, she made everything so easy for those just learning to follow her. Melanie's memory will live in my heart, as I know so many hearts from all over that loved her work…helping others. God bless you, your children and family.

  4. Jessica Compton says:

I hear Melanie's voice in my head everytime I pick up a crochet hook "relax your shoulders, let the needle do the work". I was a little girl when my grandmother taught me how to do a crochet chain and later in my life when I wanted to learn more I discovered Melanie's channel. I did not know she had passed, I haven't been crocheting for a while now. But a few days ago I decided I wanted to make hats for less fortunate people in my area as it gets so cold here. I immediately thought of Melanie and went straight to YouTube, knowing she was the one I wanted to refresh my memory on how to do them. She taught me how to make hats the first time after all. I make my magic circle the way Melanie taught me, blankets the way I learned from her, granny squares, shawls, etc. Everytime I make a project it is with the skills that I learned right here with her. Her kind, encouraging voice urging me along – it was like having her in the room with me. Learning how to do something I love with a friend. I am so sorry for your loss Robert, and your children's. Know that she made an impact on me and that specifically this season I will be using my gifts that she helped me curate to share the love. Something I've heard her say often. She won't be forgotten.

  5. Frankie Kohl says:

I know it was coming from a good place however she was a young and beautiful woman who cared about how she looked. You should have stopped filming way before you stoped filming. We did not need to see how the sausage was made.

  6. Angela Cruz says:

A amazing story of truly loving woman. Telling her story in such a beautiful truthful way of life's ups and downs and how you both gracefully went through all that was laid out in front of you both and as a family. So thank you!

  7. Kelly Kujan says:

What a beautiful Soul. She was a gift from God. God must of had plans for her to take her so early. She is an example of loving people we all need to follow. God Bless Rob and her family. Love you!

  8. Patsy Hay says:

Seeing the cat always with Mel when she was sick was so hard the cat new what was happening and was just there for her how amazing I’m so sorry she was an inspiration to everyone and her memory will live in through you and her gorgeous kids ❤

  9. AmberLee Designs says:

I pray you and your family have strength during the Holidays coming up. She was an absolutely beautiful soul and I appreciate you sharing this video of yalls lives together. I will never understand why God calls home such great people way to soon. I hope you will continue updates about your family and your lives. You have touched just as many souls as she has and I would love to be able to follow your journey through such difficult times. God bless you all and may he wrap his loving arms around all of you!

  10. Donna Peterson says:

Cancer seriously sucks. I'm only able to watch this video in pieces. I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been a subscriber of Melanie's channel for a while and have really learned a lot from her crochet videos. I'm grateful not only for that, but her kind heart and spirt. I'm glad you both put out this beautiful documentary – it is real and truly shows what a family goes through.

  11. cheryl d says:

Robert, what a beautiful, loving tribute to such a Beautiful Soul. She taught me a lot in the short time i got to spend with her on YouTube. I am glad to know that she had such a wonderful, kind, caring husband, children, parents and family. She was loved by many, many people and is greatly missed.

R.I.P beautiful lady, One in a zillion. She touched so many hearts with her warmth, beauty and teachings. My heart goes out to her loved ones. lost my partner in 2021, 6 months after finding he had Cancer, can totally relate. So painful and I cried buckets watching this. She will never be forgotten though; her smile was contagious, with such beautiful soulful eyes. She was a little Angel and so strong. Sending my love and prayers to her loved ones. 🙏💕♥.

  14. Natilee Cosine says:

I am crying, I am so, so sorry, 😢 😭 😪 tears are rolling, Continue prayers for you and your family, 🙏🏻 🙏🏻🙏🏻💙beautiful soul, is missed. Sending hugs. To and yours.

  15. Crying Hippy says:

I can relate with You Rob, I'm crying now in sadness, at the video where she didn't wake up and I'm so sorry for your loss and the family, friends and subs.

I was watching the house of hughes a boy with CP named Beckham, then your video loaded while I walked away from keyboard.

So I watched, and seeing how the treatments went and Mel losing hair and weight, reminds me of My Mother who passed from Stage 4 Multiple Tumors too, she had a rare form of cancer glioblastoma, but she had other types and tumors in brain, lungs, heart, kidneys and Lymph Nodes. She didn't have any signs neither or any pain, one day she had some memory loss so my Dad took her in and they said we have less than 48 hours till she passes and there is nothing they can do as the tumors are too big, too many and no time.

God gave us 1 year to the day, I'm pretty sure it was 365 days or 367 days, she had no pain ever, she fought like she always did to keep us all happy at her own expense, and Brother, Thank You for never Leaving Mel since You First Met!!!!

God Bless You Rob and if You need someone to talk to, hit me up, I'm first time viewer and will Sub, God gives me the words to say that seems to help many many people heal in life from many many things, so don't hesitate to reach out and I won't tell a soul, only You, Me and God watching Us Speak

I Love You Brother, if I don't reply youtube blocked You from me as they know the Power of God through His Children and someone does not want us uniting, as I've seen it over and over and over again these past 2 decades on youtube. So if I dont reply leave a comment again until You see me reply, You can make up an ID if you want to remain private too, but you wont have to worry of me saying one word to anyone.

Sleep my friend, it helps heal the heart and gives You strength to endure what's ahead.

    Much Love and God Bless

  16. Janine K says:

This video almost killed me. My 39 year old niece died in Jan2022 from ovarian cancer. She fought for 6 years. But I have to say that I used to watch all of Melanie's video's and I crocheted and sewed from her patterns. My niece also watched her videos and she learned to sew a lot of things from these videos. Melanie was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I'm heartbroken.

  17. Susan Rogers says:

I continue to watch and learn from her videos. Melanie’s inspiration is contagious! This video is a true testament of who Melanie was to so many and will continue to be❣️ God bless you all…

  18. Wade Martinak says:

Robert, I could write a book of comments after watching this. But I want to tell you at least 3 highlights I saw as I now squeeze a fully soaked Kleenex so I can add more tears to it and my lap. I have Stage4 METS breast cancer. I’m 39 and was diagnosed at 30 with stage3. I can relate to so many clips you showed in here of Mel & you, navigating your emotions and thoughts.
First, its clear from your documentary you have one incredible wife! You captured Mels beauty. Obviously her physical attributes of those gorgeous eyes are undeniable which matched her humble heart. Well done! Second, as Mel said “I dont want to be done with my story!” Mel…Ham family I can guarantee as I write this comment now, I will share this movie as far and wide as I can to make sure not only will her story & life not end but your story matters in a bigger way to my 3rd highlight- because it was very clear in this that God moved Melanies life in a massive way LONG before cancer even entered into the picture. And so it is a visible story she trusted the Lord with her life and it exudes out of her with joy. She was faithful because he gave so much to your family in your time together in trust. She’s a gift May your kids watch this when they aren’t sure if God is there, or need a hug from there mom. You gave us a gift by making this . Thank you.

  19. Our times w/ Neka our German Shepherd says:

It has taken me this long to watch this or Melanie’s you tubes. It is just so heart breaking. The chevron pillow case was my first video and sewing project aside from simple quilts. I can’t imagine how much you miss her.
