This one of the best videos on the web. I followed the instructions to the letter but the date and time is not showing up. The border shows up and I can change it. I know most of that must be a script error on my part. Is there any way I can get the code? Thanks have a great day

Thank you for showing it from the html page and forward. Its helpful to see if from the very start, not many people do that.
Real shame that after three days of trying to get his code to work, it seems to prove beyond my pay-grade. I when line by line, repeated the whole code over again, and even tried the code changes suggested in the comment section. Shame as it really looked legit.

var h = currentTime.getHours();
var m = currentTime.getMinutes();
var s = currentTime.getSeconds();
if(h == 24){
h = 0;
} else if(h > 12){
h = h – 0;
}
if (h < 10){
h = "0" + h;

You made my day, man!! Great tutorial, many thanks!!
I have a quick question about this matter, do you think is a good idea to use Javascript handlers on the body element? You advised to add "onload" attribute in the <body>. Is there any other way to make it works without adding "onload" in the "body"? Thank you so much for your time, mate!! 😉
Good tutorial bro!
Hi Joe, I wrote same code but it does not show live time in my case. As soon as I change system time, time on browser also changes, even I wrote "onload" function. Plz help..

Can you write some code explaining how to manipulate date and Time in a Time Sheet?
Great job my man! keep the good work.
I came up with this
<!Doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<title>Display Live Date in Javavascript</title>
</head>
<body>
<p id = "salute" ></p>
<p id="demo" ></p>
<script>
// Initialize date
var mydate = new Date();
var year = mydate.getYear() + 1900;
var day = mydate.getDay();
var month = mydate.getMonth();
var daym = mydate.getDate();
// Preparing to spit on the document 🙂
var dayarray = new Array("Sunday","Monday","Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday" , "Friday", "Saturday");
var montharray = new Array ("January","February","March", "April", "May" , "June", "July","August", "September", "October" , "November", "December");
document.write(dayarray[day] + " " +montharray[month]+ " "+daym+ " " +year + "<br>");
// End Date Init
// Initialize time to be able to salute People
var currentTime = new Date();
var h = currentTime.getHours();
hourarray = ["It's Midnight", "Good Night","Good Night","Good Night","Good Night","Good Morning","Good Morning", "Good Morning", "Good Morning", "Good Morning", "Good Morning", "Good Morning", " It's Lunch Time",
"Good Afternoon", "Good Afternoon", "Good Afternoon", "Good Afternoon", "Good Afternoon", "Good Afternoon", "Good Evening", "Good Evening", "Good Evening", "Good Evening"];
var salute = document.getElementById("salute").innerHTML = hourarray[h];
// End Salute
// Display the Local time with the magic of this method (toLocaleTimeString()) and set the interval to 1second
var myVar = setInterval(myTimer, 1000);
function myTimer() {
var d = new Date();
document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML = d.toLocaleTimeString();
}
</script>
</body>
</html>
