some time ago this was my dream rc car, bcs I live in russia and until i was 14 (now i'm 15 :D) i couldnt really buy anything from banggood, aliexpress, etc. In russian shops we had no buggy versions (a959), so instead I bought a979 (monster truck) (I was 10)
And guys… I dont want to hurt anyone's feelings, but is it really funny (for kids) just flatouting all the time and making motor break faster? idk… so when I see when a kid just flatouts all the time it makes my heart bleed, poor motors 🙁
anyway, I dont want to hurt anyone's feelings, its your decision, but if you flatout all the time be ready to buy a new rc car 😀

Kevin it is actually 100% safe to stick a screwdriver in the earth part of the socket, when you stick a screwdriver into the other two, that is when you are looking for a hair raising experience. 😄

They actully make some very nice parts for these cars now…ive got the 979 modle and its sweet ive done about 10 upgrades for it …very well built now and it's very fast…

GARBAGE OUT OF THE BOX. Even 2+ years later these things come so toed-out they're incredibly difficult to control or drive in anything resembling a straight line. At the very least you'll want to buy the adjustable rods and ends so you can make this car somewhat useable. I'd avoid the full metal kit because it's heavy and doesn't come with all the correct scews. And of course you'll want the -B spec version if you're interested in any decent speed stock.
